DISTINGUISHED RESTAURANTS OF NORTH AMERICA AWARDS 26 RESTAURANTS FOR 2007
New restaurants hail from 17 U.S. states and British Columbia, Canada
New York (September 2006) – The Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRōNA) has revealed the 26 restaurants that will join its elite roster in 2007. The restaurants will be formally honored with the DiRōNA distinction at the legendary Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia at a Grand Gala ceremony on October 24, 2006. The ceremony will conclude a three-day conference expected to draw more than 300 restaurant owners, chefs, consumers and industry officials from across the continent.
To be honored with the DiRōNA distinction, restaurants must pass a rigorous, anonymous inspection conducted by trained industry professionals. To date, less than 800 restaurants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico have been recognized by DiRōNA.
The 2007 DiRōNA restaurants have proven that every facet of the dining experience—from the silverware and place settings to the wait staff and cuisine—is impeccable. The 26 new award recipients hail from 17 U.S. states and one Canadian province. A complete list is attached.
“DiRōNA honors only the most superior fine dining establishments, and we are proud to welcome these 26 new restaurants into the organization,” said Chick Marshall, chairman of DiRōNA and co-owner of Mr. Stox restaurant in Anaheim, CA.
“Our restaurants set the standard for fine dining in their respective regions, providing a unique and spectacular dining experience.”
