Range, the newest project from local Chef Jason Dady and his family, is in the heart of downtown San Antonio at the beautiful Embassy Suites at 125 E. Houston street on the famed Riverwalk. Open lunch and dinner, every day.

Range showcases the beauty and bounty of the Texas Hill Country and Gulf Coast. The menu pays tribute to Texas and Midwest beef, offers the freshest coastal seafood and highlights items from the “Field”, including Central Texas Bobwhite Quail. Chef Dady considers Range to be a modern chef-inspired chop house, focusing on a bustling business lunch crowd seamlessly transitioning to dinner service offering the ambiance and service for the perfect client dinner, date night experience or important family event. With seating available for intimate dining and large parties, the restaurant provides accessible menu selections that accommodate the diversity of the San Antonio downtown clientele, from locals to business travelers and tourists, alike.

Downstairs showcases the perfect mix of booth, banquette and traditional seating, as well as, the longest hotel bar top in San Antonio. Hand-crafted classic cocktails, an impressive wine list featuring both new and old-world selections, and local and craft beers complement the menu. The upstairs dining room shows-off where the “magic” happens with an open view kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the San Antonio River. With adaptable private dining areas, Range can create privacy for groups large and small.

The motif and decor focus on the stunning landscape of the Texas Hill Country with bright and vibrant photography. Texas bluebonnets, rolling hills and meadows, and real cowboy imagery offer a homage to “Home on the Range”.

Chef Jason Dady, a James Beard Semifinalist Restaurateur, Food Network’s Iron Chef Gauntlet Contestant and CultureMaps Chef of the Year 2016, amongst many other accolades, has written a balanced menu, focusing on fresh seafood, raw oyster bar, world-class beef and utilizing products from the field. A literal “Farm to Table” restaurant, utilizing French and Italian technique, from searing to grilling, the menu will be executed with finesse and assure a world-class dining experience.
