Kelly & Scott Breard
Kelly and Scott Breard bring a wealth of experience and passion to leading DiRōNA into the future. Since acquiring the organization in 2016, they have upheld its status as North America’s most esteemed restaurant award. Scott, a University of Guelph Hotel and Food Administration graduate, has managed restaurants and spent a decade traveling with DiRōNA co-founder John Arena to the world’s top dining establishments. Kelly complements this with her background in travel and tourism and over 25 years of exploring renowned restaurants alongside Scott. Together, they provide the leadership, insight, and marketing expertise needed to support DiRōNA-awarded restaurants.
Under their guidance, DiRōNA has expanded its digital presence, strengthened community engagement, and provided vital industry support during the 2020 pandemic. They have created signature events such as annual reunion luncheons in Chicago, Hall of Fame Inductions, and large-scale gatherings like “DiRōNA Weeks” in Napa and New Orleans—each offering unmatched networking, education, and culinary experiences.
As DiRōNA celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2025, the Breards remain committed to championing fine dining and creating meaningful opportunities for restaurateurs across North America.
