August is busy for most of our DiRoNA Awarded restaurants as the summer begins to wind down. Patios are still open, school is about to begin or already begun, thoughts are moving to the fall season menu selections. We have been busy as well, putting the final touches on the 2018 DiRoNA Conference in Napa, CA in September!
We are excited to announce our newest DiRoNA Awarded restaurant BlueBlood Steakhouse in Toronto, ON. This fabulous restaurant is located inside the historic Casa Loma. You will enjoy a refined dining experience blending both modern and classic styles to create a truly stunning visual experience. The menu features a wonderful selection of steak and seafood as well as a superb wine list. Both BlueBlood Steakhouse and Don Alfonso 1890 (originally Rosewater, awarded in 2003) are owned by Liberty Entertainment Group. Congratulations to our newest DiRoNA Awarded restaurant!

BlueBlood Steakhouse

Since the beginning of 2018 DiRoNA has been giving away gift certificates to our awarded restaurants! Every week we offer the chance to win and have dinner at one of our landmark restaurants. Earlier this year we gave away a $100 gift certificates for Beverly’s in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Out of 100’s of entries, Margo P. was our lucky winner. She and her husband used the gift certificate to celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary! They enjoyed a wonderful meal and dessert along with a spectacular view.

Every year since DiRoNA was founded in 1990 we have given away scholarships for students pursuing careers in the restaurant and foodservice industry. Our scholarship program is open to both American and Canadian students to encourage them to pursue their passion. Areas of study include but are not limited to culinary, pastry, hospitality, sommelier, oenology (winemaking), and beer brewing. There are many different areas that make up the foodservice industry as a whole and DiRoNA shows their support by providing scholarships.
